Kent county council, and Kent Highways, need to immediately start repairs to subsidence the A299 Thanet way. This is a vital transport route, relied on by thousands of hard working people on a daily basis, and should be treated with due consideration and importance.

The road has suffered subsidence for many years. However the most serious sinkage is only on small sections, so it makes better sense to just repair these areas as and when needed.

Placing an indefinite 50mph speed limit on the road, and then cashing in with speed cameras is a disgraceful insult to Kent drivers who already pay through the nose for a poor local network.

If a road is unsafe, repair it.

It's that simple.
